Why it matters
Meta Pixel is essential if you want to use Meta advertising. With this pixel, you can create remarketing audiences and set up conversions for your campaigns
Before you start
You can only do this once you have installed Google Tag Manager on your site. You should have also already set up a Meta Ads Account using Meta Business Suite following SOP 010 (web version)

2Installing the Meta Pixel11
Log in to your Meta Business Suite.
From the sidebar, click “All tools” “Events Manager”.
In your Meta Ads Manager page, click "Events Manager" > "Data Sources". Within "Data Sources", ensure that you have selected the right name and ID on the top, scroll down and click "Set up Meta Pixel".
You will be presented with two options. In this guide, we recommend clicking “Check for partner” instead for easier integration.
Select “Google Tag Manager” from the partner list.
By now, you will be taken to the onboarding workflow to connect your Google Tag Manager account to your Meta account. On the first screen, click “Next”.
Next, turn on automatic advanced matching. Click "Next".
Next, you will be prompted to sign in to the Google Account you use for Google Tag Manager. Click "Allow".
Click “Finish setup” after checking the account and container name. Otherwise, click on the drop-down arrow to choose the correct one.
Next, since the Pixel base code is required for now, you just need to click “Next”.
Finally, you’ll see a screen confirming that the setup is complete. Click "Finish".
3QA the Meta pixel3
Open your website using Chrome.
On your settings, go to "Extensions" and click on the Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension.
You should be able to see your Meta Pixel Helper installed by now. The extension should be able to find at least one pixel and it should match the Pixel ID on your Meta Business Manager. That's it!
