You should have received the email verification code by now. Enter it and tap "Next".
2Complete profile in Edit profile5
Go to your "Profile" and tap "Edit profile".
Tap "Change photo" and upload the square logo. It is recommended to also update the bio description here (limited to 150 characters) with a value proposition plus a call to action.
Next, click "See more in Accounts Center".
Select the correct Instagram account and update "Name" and "Username" to the business name.
Now, go to the Instagram app on your mobile phone and add the company website > "Profile" > "Edit Profile" > "Links" > "Add external link" > "Done". This can only be done on a mobile phone.
3Switch to Professional (Business)6
Open the profile menu () and tap "Settings".
Scroll down to "For professionals" > Tap "Account type and tools" > "Switch to professional account".
Select "Business" and tap "Next" twice.
Next, search and select the closest category that describes the business. You can change this later. Pick a clear, broad category if unsure. Click "Done" and then "Continue" to switch to a professional account.
Now, provide the public business information, such as email, contact number, and location address > Click "Save" > "Done".
By now, you should see "Professional dashboard" at the top of your profile. Click on it to view "Insights". That's it!
4Enable 2FA in Accounts Center6
In "Settings", tap "See more in Accounts Center".
Tap "Password and security" > "Two-factor authentication".
Tap the Instagram Business account that you've just created.
Select "Authentication app". This method is more secure and recommended.
Next, scan the QR code, copy and enter the key in the authentication app.
Now, your authentication app will generate a 6-digit code. Copy the code and then come back to Instagram to enter it. Click "Next" when complete. That's it, the set-up is now complete!
5(Optional) Link Facebook Page in Accounts Center (if client provides access)3
In "Settings", tap "See more in Accounts Center".
Tap "Profiles" > "Add accounts" > "Add Facebook account".

Save the username and password in the client’s password manager.
Share the email used, birthdate, 2-factor authentication QR code, and backup codes securely.
Ask the client to log in on their device and confirm access.
