Ideal outcome

Your team or your client will get a report containing the latest campaign data and results to analyze ad performance

Why it matters

An automated report will help you and your team analyze (and optimize) the current ad performance effectively

Before you start

You need to have access to the Meta Business Suite of the ad account for which you’re sending the report. If you don’t have access, ask your client or your colleague to grant you access following SOP 062 (web version): Granting access to Meta Business Suite

Key steps 20 steps

What is inside 23 headings

1 Create your report within Meta Ads Manager 9

  1. Log in to your Meta Ads Manager account
  2. Open the sidebar and click “Ads Reporting”.
  3. Click the green button or “+ Create report”.
  4. Select the “Pivot Table” layout and click "Continue". You can change this layout any time in the future.
  5. At the top of the page, hover over “Untitled Report” and click on it to write a new report name. For example:
  6. Click "Customize" on your right-hand side to reveal the “Customize Pivot Table” and select “Campaign Name” and “Ad Set Name”.
  7. Next, click “Metrics” and select the metrics you’d like to see in this report.
  8. Next, update the date for the report. If this is a monthly report, select “This month”. Otherwise, select the period you want to report and click "Update".
  9. Lastly, remember to save your report to share it with others later.

2 Sharing your report 4

  1. Log in to your Meta Ads Manager reporting dashboard.
  2. Select the report that you want to share.
  3. In the top right corner, click on the "Share" button.
  4. This will reveal two methods to share the report. You can copy the preferred report link and manually share it with those who already have access to the business account or others.

3 Scheduling an automated report 7

  1. To schedule a campaign-level ad report, go to the left navigation menu and click “Campaigns.”
  2. Select the relevant campaign and ensure the associated ad sets and ads are selected.
  3. Then, click the downward arrow next to the Share icon and choose “Schedule export.”
  4. Right after, name your export or campaign name, including the data date range that you would like to schedule.
  5. Next, set up the delivery preference. This can be daily, weekly or monthly depending on your team or your client's preference.
  6. Search for the people who already have access to this account with whom you would like to share the report.
  7. Finally, click "Schedule", and that's it! Your report is now scheduled!
